[User Stories] Studying in Korea while saving and sending money to home

SentBe met its user, Koteswararao Velmula, in Seoul, August 2020 and listened to his life in Korea and what he has been planning and pursuing for the future. Here's a very inspiring story about him.

SentBe: How long have you been living in Korea? What made you come to Korea?

Koteswararao: I came to Korea in 2018 from India. I previously worked for a global pharmaceutical company in my country. I was engaging in developing and obtaining patent of stomach cancer medicine. To further my career in chemistry, I applied for a PhD program at Seogang University and was luckily able to get admission with scholarship.

SentBe: How has your life been in Korea so far?

Koteswararao: I spend most of time at school. I've been overwhelmed by a series of readings and assignments but I've been quite smoothly adopting to new and global academic environment. I believe pursuing my study in Korea would deepen my expertise.

SentBe: In what occasion, do you use SentBe? SentBe found interesting a foreign student also uses our service as most of foreign users are migrant workers rather than students.

Koteswararao: Like I told you before, I luckily got scholarship from the school. This funding also includes stipend. I've been trying to saving money from my daily spending and sending some of it to my parents. I've been using SentBe when sending money to home.

SentBe: What is your future plan

Koteswararao: I would like to finalize well my thesis I have been working on. Then, I would like to continue post doctorate study in Korea if possible to get scholarship like now. Afterwards, I would like to return to my former employer, a global pharmaceutical company or look for other opportunities too in India.

SentBe found Koteswararao's face is filled with bright smile all the time when he told us about what he has been achieving and dreaming while living and working in Korea.
