[User Stories] Greatly happy to support my children sufficiently

SentBe met its user, Nguyen Huy Binh, in Seoul, February 2021 and listened to his life in Korea and what he has been planning and pursuing for the future. Here's a very inspiring story about him.

SentBe: What made you come to Korea?

Nguyen: I once worked in Fukushima, Japan for 3 years and drove a taxi in Vietnam with the seed money earned in Japan. At that time, many friends talked about working in Korea. After hearing getting higher income in a better environment is possible in Korea, I decided to go to Korea.

SentBe: How has your life been in Korea so far?

Nguyen: Since I came to Korea in 2016, I've being stably working in the same refrigirator manufacturer. I am working and living with other migrant workers from Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Age and working years-wise, I'm the oldest and senior. It makes them see me as a close big brother. I usually spent the weekend playing badminton or soccer with my colleagues. However these days, I only watch soccer games because of COVID-19.

SentBe: How has your remittance been used so far?

Nguyen: Although I am away from my family, I feel satisfied and proud that I can support their daily life and my family's future by sending money from Korea. My remittance is mainly used for living expenses and kids' education. We built a 3-story house in hometown too.

SentBe: What is your future plan?

Nguyen: I'd like to do my own real estate rental business when returning to home. Apart from this, what is the most important for me is I want my son and daughter to study hard and go to good school. I'd like to be the best dad ever for them.

SentBe found Nguyen's face is filled with bright smile all the time when he told us about what he has been achieving and dreaming while living and working in Korea.
